25 December 2007 marks the release of MGM v0.96 patch level 2 and brings some much needed bug fixes. Most notably is compatibility with MySQL 5 and elimination of the need to set Joomla's RG_emulation enabled.

The following features and enhancements can be found in this release:

• Manage Galleries list includes a small icon next to the gallery id number providing a larger target to click
• Manage Templates list includes a small icon next to the template id number, as above
• Manage Templates list now incudes three new table-less templates with in-line style tags
• Manage Templates Basic Blue has been given some much needed attention
• Manage Templates Static Template now displays nine images, giving it a balanced look
• Upload Zip File page includes notification of the server's upload file size limit
• Upload Zip File Success page returns a formatted list of images extracted from the zip file
• Upload Zip File Success page strips spaces and other non-permissable characters from file names
  
• Edit Gallery Properties page Thumbnail table width accepts values with % or px
• Edit Gallery Properties page Expand small thumbnails option can make thumbnails from images less than 100px
• Edit Gallery Properties page Expand small images option now works correctly
• Edit Gallery Properties page changing relevant settings now changes the gallery Pending status to Yes when the edited properties are saved. Clicking Add Photos will regenerate thumbnails with the new settings
• Add Photos page now correctly escapes punctuation marks
• Add Photos page now deletes the corresponding thumbnail when an image is deleted
• Add Photos page dynamically adjusts the amount of memory allocated to PHP to permit resizing large images
• Config page now shows the current version, release date and patch level of MGM
• Config page now shows the upload file size limit imposed by the server's php.ini file
• Diagnostics page returns Unix style directory permissions in r-w-x notation
• Diagnostics page displays Writeable in green and Not Writeable in red for better visibility

• Help page now includes additional notes and tips
